Every Depop Payments order in the US pays 3.3% plus $0.45 in processing, charged on the item price, the shipping the buyer paid, and any sales tax. On an ordinary sale that is the only fee, which is why Depop is one of the cheapest places to sell clothes in the US.
Boosted Listings cost 12% for US listings created from March 23, 2026. With a Depop Shipping label the boost is charged on the item price alone; with your own label, the shipping you charged is added to the base. The label setting switches between the two.
Buyers now pay a separate marketplace fee at checkout, up to 5% plus up to $1, which replaced the old seller fee. It comes out of the buyer's pocket, not your payout, so it is not in the breakdown. It still shapes how your price compares with the same piece listed elsewhere.
Profit is the payout minus what you paid for the piece, the label, and packaging. Margin is measured against what the buyer paid for the item and shipping, before tax.

The 12% boosting fee is $3.60, more than twice the processing fee. A boost pays off when it sells pieces that would otherwise sit for weeks.

Not for US sellers. Depop removed the 10% US selling fee in July 2024, and its help centre now lists no selling fee for sellers based in the US, UK, or Australia. Payment processing and boosting fees still apply.
With no shipping or tax, $2.10 in processing (3.3% of $50 plus $0.45), so you receive $47.90. If the buyer also paid $6 shipping, processing rises to $2.30 because it is charged on the shipping too.
A buyer-side fee of up to 5% of the item price plus up to $1, shown at checkout and charged once per transaction for bundles. It started in the US on July 18, 2024. Sellers do not pay it.
Run the item twice here, once boosted and once not. If the boosted profit still clears your minimum, the boost is a fair trade for faster sales. For thin-margin pieces, raise the price with the target-profit mode so a boosted sale still earns what you need.
Yes. Depop's help centre says that when a sale is refunded, the selling, payment processing, and boosting fees are reversed as well.
Processing does, because it is charged on everything the buyer paid. The boosting fee includes shipping only when you did not use a Depop Shipping label.
