What this tool does

Paste a caption or comment thread and pull every #tag into a list you can reuse or audit. It does not check whether Instagram has restricted a tag.

Creators use this when they want to copy a working set from an old post, or strip tags out of a paragraph before rewriting the caption.

How to use it

  1. 1

Open Hashtag Extractor and enter your text or values above.

  2. 2

Review the instant result in the output panel.

  3. 3

Copy the result into your caption, CMS, or notes.

  4. 4

After you extract

Deduplicate, then run anything you will reuse through the banned hashtag checker. Extraction only finds strings that start with #.

Do not paste thirty extracted tags onto a new Reel about a different topic. Relevance still beats volume.

Tips

  • Keep 3–5 tags that describe this post, not last month’s post.
  • Pair with the hashtag generator when you need new niche tags, not a dump of old ones.

Frequently asked questions

Does this check whether a hashtag is banned?

No. It only extracts tags from text. Run extracted tags through the banned hashtag checker if you are posting on Instagram.

Are duplicate tags removed?

The extractor lists tags as they appear. Deduplicate before you paste a set into a new caption.
