What it does
Hashtags get buried in long captions, first comments and copied competitor posts. This extractor scans whatever you paste, finds every word that starts with #, drops exact duplicates, and prints them in order as one space-separated line.
It also tells you how many characters the tags take up, with and without spaces, which helps when you are deciding whether to keep hashtags in the caption or move them into the first comment.

What you get
One line of hashtags separated by single spaces, in the order they first appear, plus four numbers: hashtag count, unique count, characters in the tags alone, and characters including the spaces between them.

The trailing full stop is dropped from #sunset, but #Travel and #travel are both kept because the extractor keeps your original capitalisation.
Tips
- Deduplication is case-sensitive, so #Travel and #travel both appear. Use the hashtag limit checker if you want a case-insensitive count.
- An emoji typed directly after a tag with no space (like #travel🌍) is treated as part of the tag. Add a space before pasting to split it.
- Pasting a whole post from the Instagram web page can include tags from comments. Paste only the caption if you want the author's set.
Questions
Can I extract hashtags straight from an Instagram post link?
No. The extractor reads text you paste, not URLs. Open the post, copy the caption text, and paste it into the box.
Does it work for hashtags in other languages?
Yes. Tags with accented letters and non-Latin scripts, such as #café or #東京, are picked up because the pattern accepts characters beyond basic A to Z.
Why are "Hashtags" and "Unique" always the same number?
Exact duplicates are removed before counting, so both figures show the deduplicated total. To see how many times a tag was repeated, compare the original text with the extracted line.
