What it does
Picking a handle usually stalls because every obvious name is taken. This generator gets you past a blank page by mixing one of 16 adjectives (bold, cosmic, pixel, zen) with one of 16 nouns (studio, fox, hive, spark) and a number from 0 to 998, then listing ten results.
It works best as a starting point for new or secondary accounts where a memorable, neutral handle matters more than your real name. There is nothing to type: each click draws a fresh set in your browser.

Tips
- Drop or shorten the number if the base name is free. "cosmicfox" is easier to say out loud than "cosmicfox417".
- Check the same handle on every platform you plan to use before committing, so your profiles match.
- Avoid numbers that read like a birth year if you want the account to feel timeless.
Questions
Can I enter my name or niche to get personalised usernames?
Not on this tool. It has no input field and draws from fixed word lists, which keeps it quick for brainstorming. Take a result you like and edit it to add your own name, niche word, or initials.
How do I know if a generated username is taken?
The generator does not look anything up. Type the handle into the search bar of Instagram, TikTok or X, or try to set it in your profile settings, which will tell you straight away if it is in use.
What characters are allowed in an Instagram username?
Instagram handles can use letters, numbers, periods and underscores, up to 30 characters. Every name this tool produces uses only lowercase letters and digits, so it fits those rules.
