What it does
Captions written in Notes, Google Docs or a chat app often arrive with double or triple empty lines between paragraphs and a stray line break at the end. This formatter does one job: it collapses any run of two or more blank lines to a single blank line and trims the start and end of the text.
Use it as the last pass before you paste into Instagram or a scheduler, alongside the line break tool if you also need spacing that Instagram tends to swallow.

What you get
A plain-text caption in the "Cleaned caption" box: identical to your draft except that runs of blank lines become one blank line and leading and trailing whitespace is removed.
When to use it
- Captions drafted in Google Docs
- Docs often adds extra paragraph spacing when copied. Paste the draft here to reduce each gap to one blank line.
- Merging sections from several notes
- When you stitch a hook, body and hashtags together, the joins leave uneven gaps. The formatter evens them out.
- Scheduler copy that ends in space
- Trim the trailing newlines some tools add so the caption does not end with invisible padding.

The words and single line breaks are untouched; only the stacked gaps and the empty lines at each end are removed.
Tips
- This tool does not insert invisible characters. If Instagram still merges your paragraphs after posting, run the cleaned caption through the Instagram line break generator.
- Spaces at the end of individual lines are kept. If you copied from a PDF, pass the text through the text cleaner first.
- Put the key message in the first line or two. Instagram shows roughly the first 125 characters before "more".
Questions
Why does Instagram sometimes remove my paragraph breaks?
Instagram has historically collapsed empty lines, especially ones containing a trailing space or created on certain keyboards. A cleaned caption with single blank lines is the best starting point, and a line break generator can add visible spacers if the gaps still disappear.
Will this change my emojis or hashtags?
No. Only blank lines and whitespace at the very start and end are touched, so emojis, hashtags, mentions and wording stay exactly as you wrote them.
Does it check the 2,200 character caption limit?
